Master of Public Health
About the Programme
The Master of Public Health at Kampala International University is primarily concerned with the promotion of health and the assessment of Health care delivery. Health and development studies are therefore aimed at providing research training and outreach services that focus on the needs of local communities.
The programme is tailored to various public and community health priority areas thus allowing a wider range of choices for students with different backgrounds. The mission of the program is to improve the standards of health of people by training Public Health Specialists.
Courses are designated as prerequisite (P), Core(C) or specializing Track (ST) courses. Prerequisite courses are taken to remove deficiencies before starting the regular program.
To earn the MPH degree a student must satisfactorily complete between 49 -52 units of full-time course work, which includes 6 units of Thesis research as per the specialized track.
