College of Education, Open and Distance Learning coordinates teaching, research, student mentorship and programme delivery within KIU.
The College of Education Open, Distance and E- Learning is one of the pioneer colleges since the inception of the University in August 2001. The College has expanded in many aspects including an increase in the number of students, lecturers and teaching facilities.
The College provides fresh beginnings and infinite possibility for prospective students in order to meet the current yearning of robust and technology-based service delivery at all levels of education through contemporary engagement and digital teaching, research and global reach.
Considering that Education is the path, albeit hallmark of knowledge, which serves as the fulcrum for all professions or disciplines, the College has a crop of staff members, from national and international communities, with enviable intellectual and academic attainment that do not only connect students and intellectual resources beyond the classroom but teach students, as future teachers and education managers, how to impart such in others.
With a thriving leadership and creative development of curriculum, the College can proudly boast of many Diploma, Bachelor, Master and Doctoral graduates established and shaping lives in schools and all walks of life.Â
Currently, the student population stands above 2000, including both undergraduate and postgraduates.Â
