Biological and Environmental Sciences
The Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences supports biological and environmental sciences, field learning and laboratory inquiry, student mentorship and 12 active programmes within School of Natural and Applied Sciences at the Main Campus.
The department is running six programmes

Objectives
- To produce individuals who are able to understand, evaluate and provide solutions to the ever changing environmental challenges.
- To participate in global and national research on issues that promotes conservation and sustainability of the environment.
- To initiate and innovate projects and programs that provides solutions to community challenges through involving all stakeholders.
- To get involved in community activities and services.
