Business Administration
The Department of Business Administration supports management education, enterprise practice and organisational leadership, student mentorship and 25 active programmes within Faculty of Business and Management at the Western Campus.
At the Department of Business Administration, we are dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where our students can choose from numerous degree programmes designed to ensure their success both locally and internationally. Objectives
- The department of Business Administration and Management has the following objectives:
- Develop a general understanding of the fundamental areas of business
- Effective critical thinking skills to be able to identify and proffer solutions to business issues and problems.
- Develop effective ethical decision making skills among our students
- Ensure that our students haven gone through our system, are equipped with the requisite communication skills to survive in a very competitive market. The skills will enable the produce high quality business documents, make presentation amongst others.
Mission
Our mission is to prepare students for successful business-related careers in organizations by fostering intellectual and personal growth, developing specific skill sets relevant to the global business community. We place emphasis on innovative programs, experiential learning, delivered with a focus on individual learning outcomes, applied research and active engagement with external stakeholders.
Vision
The vision of the department of Business Administration and Management is to be recognized as a preferred destination for transformative, innovative and experiential business education in Uganda and the whole of Africa.
Philosophy
Our philosophy guides our action, curriculum and conduct of staff members in the department of Business Administration and Management of Kampala International University. These guiding philosophes include:

- Experientially engaged: We value experiential learning, making productive collaborations with business leaders in the region.

It also ensures were are preparing our students to be relevant in their respective specializations when they complete their programs with us.
