Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science supports computing, software, systems and digital innovation, student mentorship and 19 active programmes within School of Mathematics and Computing at the Main Campus.
The department assiduously work to instill "I can do it" spirit in both undergraduate and postgraduate students despite the misconception in computer science and software engineering.
The movement, methods and techniques aimed at making software development more systematic, procedural and cost effective are imbibed.
The theory of computing, experimentation and approaches that form the basis for the design and use of computers are dealt with.
To help our research profile we have research group that focus on several domains that will play pivotal role in the attainment of developmental growth for the university, nation and Africa.
