Public and Comparative Law
The Department of Public and Comparative Law supports legal education, justice, rights and professional legal practice, student mentorship and curriculum delivery within School of Law at the Main Campus.
The focus of the department of public and comparative law is on courses in the areas of public law, and comparative law. The department provides scholarship on public and comparative law with a focus on the following areas: criminal law, constitutional law, administrative law, international law, human rights law, health law, oil and gas law, and competition law and policy. Lecturers in the department also teach and supervise these courses at the postgraduate level.
Objectives
The department of public and comparative law provides support to other departments in the school of law, towards the realization of the programs of the school. The department aspires to advance scholarship in the areas of public and comparative law.

The department strives for excellence in teaching the public and comparative law component of the law curriculum.
