The Institute for Social Research supports KIU academic work through applied social inquiry, policy-oriented study and community-focused research. It provides a platform for staff and students to investigate social, economic, governance and development questions that affect communities in Uganda and the wider region.
The institute strengthens research culture by encouraging field-based evidence, interdisciplinary collaboration and dissemination that can inform public debate, institutional planning and community service.
