Welcome to the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), Kampala International University (KIU). We hope you will be excited to learn how we are contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how to make the world a sustainable, affordable and better place to live in.

Our vision is being achieved by the transfer of knowledge in the application and advancement of engineering and scientific solutions that benefit the world. SEAS, therefore, regards every other student as having the ability to attain excellence through the acquisition of knowledge, morals, skills and values so as to become productive graduates capable of developing self, society and nation through research and innovations in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

SEAS offer many programs both at undergraduate and postgraduate to equip our students with the science base required to deal with national, regional and global challenges. All our courses are multi-spectral, multi-dimensional and cut horizontally or vertically across disciplines.

For example, engineering students take courses in economics as a techno-entrepreneurial course to ensure the products developed are price friendly and able to compete on the market. The result is a graduate who is able to work with diverse teams in solving societal problems. The staff are well accomplished faculty of international repute in teaching, research, innovation, and practice. Mentoring students enhances the student life and experiences at KIU.

SEAS has established collaborations with key industrial partners, internal and external universities and government agencies to support our goals, advance our mission to foster state of the art teaching and learning, and in the development of innovative engineering and scientific solutions. This ensures that our research is practical and meets the needs of society.

You are welcome to discover more about what SEAS has to offer and to capture the activities that define and shape our staff and students that are true to our Motto: Path to Excellence. Please do not hesitate to visit our campus to get a feel whenever you can.
