Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital

Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital gives KIU health sciences students supervised exposure to a busy referral setting in western Uganda. It extends clinical learning beyond the classroom by placing students in real patient-care environments where they can observe, practise and strengthen professional judgement under guidance.

Through placements at this site, students encounter ward routines, outpatient care, emergency response, maternal and child health services, surgical care and community health realities that shape health service delivery in the region.
