Definition of Religion and Conflict (4 hours)

  • Forms of conflict
  • Causes of conflicts in the world.

Religious based Conflict (in Uganda, Kashmir, Northern Ireland, Chechnya, Nigeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, USA and the Alquaeda, Middle East, Eritrea, etc.Their causes and Effects (10 hours)

·         The creation of the state of Israel by the United Nations in 1948 and its role on conflict escalation in the Middle East.

Role of religion in conflict resolution

  • Armed conflicts / wars as saboteurs of peace (3 hours)
  • Causes (3 hours)
  • Effects (3 hours)
  • Solutions (3 hours)
  • Peace building without using war (3 hours)
