Course Description

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course introduces how Engineering is applied and practiced in limits of an urban setting.

 

COURSE JUSTIFICATION/RATIONALE

This course interrelates the traditional areas of Civil Engineering with urbanism; get exposed to technological advancement and incorporate new techniques and procedures aiming at the effectiveness of the infrastructure of the cities

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:

·        Examine land policies of the urban area

·        Acquire knowledge on how to improve the urban facilities

·        Learn about the land reforms in the urban areas

·        Acquire knowledge of urban infrastructures planning and provision
