Description
This course comprises an examination
of both external and internal elements that influence educational system
operation and strategies to overcome the constraint identified. External
factors include environmental factors and community/societal influences,
internal factors include; goals, missions, culture, relationships, structure,
programs and services, resources and outcomes of educational programs. Analysis
will include an examination of various educational policies and programs in the
developing world.

objective
The objective of the course is to
equip the student with skills in systems approach to analysis of real life
situations in a school setting as an administrator.

By the end of the course unit,
students should demonstrate ability to:

Explain the educational systems, concepts, techniques and tools
·
Discuss the performance of educational programs
·
Explain the improvement strategies for educational systems in
Uganda
·
Compare and contrast the techniques and methods to enhance achievement
of overall educational goals in Uganda.
