Course Description

This course introduces the key principles of Tour guiding techniques in relation: to the tour and travel industry. The course clearly spells out the interaction between the tour manager/ tour guide and clients /tourists/ Travelers and the sustainable management of the attractions at different destinations.

It helps the students to understand and apply the principles of tour guiding in the management of the tourists/Guests and the destination attractions for sustainable tourism development. 

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOME:

By the end of the course unit, students should be able to:

Meet and conduct briefings to tourists at the Airport and at the Hotel.

Solve incidental problems and handle correctly emergency situations following the right procedures.

State, defend and exemplify the professional etiquette/ ethics of tour guiding.

Organize and conduct camping safaris

Write a comprehensive tour report/ mastering the tour operators manual
