EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course unit the student will be able to;

·                     Demonstrate knowledge of evolutionary relationships and nutritional         characteristics of the Pteridophytes, Bryophytes, Algae and Gymnosperms.

·                     Describe the morphological characteristics of the Pteridophytes, Bryophytes,        Algae and Gymnosperms

·                     Describe the structures and life histories of the representative groups.

·                     Discuss the economic importance of the members of the above groups of plants.
