Course Description

School practice is a key component of initial teacher training, teacher trainees need to develop pedagogical and instructional practices that are age and developmentally appropriate.  School practice also enable teacher trainees to develop the ability to manage school situations and perform co-curricular activities.

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Working under the supervision of University supervisors, and practicing teachers in school settings, or directors. They perform instructional duties such as planning, preparing materials, tutoring, and small group instruction. They are essentially required to interact with students in some educational capacity.

 

COURSE AIM

To develop skills and knowledge for classroom and whole-school approaches to pedagogical and instructional practices that are age and developmentally appropriate as well as holistic curriculum implementation and evaluation.
