Course content

General Introduction: data types, descriptive and inferential statistics (3 hours)

Central tendency: means mode, median (3 hours)

Variability: Variance, Standard Deviation (3 hours)

The Normal Distribution: The normal and standardised normal curve,  t-    distribution and z-distribution (4 hours)

Distribution of Sample means: Standard error  and confidence Interval (3 hours)

Statistical testing: Null and alternative hypothesis (3 hours)

Statistical testing: Parametric and Non-parametric analyses (3 hours)

Comparing 2 small means: t-test and Mann-Whitney U test (3 hours)

Comparing 2 matched sample means Paired t-test and Wilcoxon test (3 hours)

Bivariate data:  Correlation and Regression analysis (3 hours)

Analysis of nominal variable: Chi-Square test (3 hours)

Comparing more than 2 means: One-way Anova and Kruskal-Wallis test (3 hours)

Comparing means of more than 2 different groups, classified two ways:, Two-     way ANOVA and Friedman Test (3 hours)
