Course Description
PURPOSE OF COURSE
This course exposes students to the
concepts and theories of macroeconomic that will help them understand the
general functioning of the economy and build a foundation for other branches of
economics. It gives a firm introduction to the study of the economy as a whole
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
By
the end of the course unit, students should be able to:
- Appreciate
the basic concepts and theories of macroeconomics
- Appreciate
how the major macroeconomic variables influence the economic growth and
development of nations
- Apply
their knowledge of macroeconomics to the challenge of economic growth and
development of their country.

Learnt macroeconomics techniques that can be
used to analyze and appreciate the level at which our countries are in terms of
economic growth and development.
