Course Description

This course will introduce students to the modalities and procedural matters of handling civil matters in Courts of Judicature. This course will also expose students to the practice and procedure in civil matters in the courts of judicature, and enforcement of court judgments and decrees.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Explain the sources of civil procedure laws and rules.
  • Discuss the modalities of instituting civil matters in courts and other fora.
  • Examine the importance of interlocutory proceedings and orders the modes of examining and cross-examining witnesses
  • Explain the procedural matters of civil matters in courts of judicature.
  • Appraise the role of court bailiffs and court brokers in the enforcement of court orders.
