Introduction To Macroeconomics

PURPOSE OF COURSE

This course exposes students to the concepts and theories of macroeconomic that will help them understand the general functioning of the economy and build a foundation for other branches of economics. It gives a firm introduction to the study of the economy as a whole.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course unit, students should be able to:

• Explain  the basic concepts and theories of macroeconomics
• Discuss  how the major macroeconomic variables influence the economic growth and development of nations
• Describe the macroeconomics to the challenge of economic growth and development of their country.
• Explain macroeconomics techniques that can be used to analyze and appreciate the level at which our countries are in terms of economic growth and development.
