Course Description

PURPOSE OF COURSE

This course is an extension of introduction to macroeconomics and it focuses on helping students understand macroeconomic theory in details and how its parts interact to explain the general functioning of the economy. 

 

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Explain and further analyze macro-economic concepts, theories and variables
  • Comprehend the principles essential for understanding the economizing problems
  • Be familiar with the various approaches to measuring the functioning of the economy as a whole
  • Critically analyze the  major macroeconomic challenges of unemployment, inflation, interest rate, and imbalances in BOP
