Course Description

This is a vital course for student teachers, for without it there is no way they can become professional teachers. It enables them learn how to go about with lesson preparations; deal with all sorts of students; interact harmoniously with the school community. It also equips them with the suitable methodologies of teaching the different genres of the language.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is for Bachelor of Arts with Education students being prepared to teach the Kiswahili language. This course should enable students to effectively teach Kiswahili by applying appropriate teaching methods.

COURSE AIMS

By the end of the course, students should be able to;

1.    Prepare schemes of work.

2.    Prepare lesson plans.

3.    Apply various methods of teaching the Kiswahili Language.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

On completion of this course, students will be able to;

1.    Prepare for the teaching of any class in secondary school.

2.    Execute any topic in Kiswahili with confidence.

3.    Control their classes while teaching.
