This wider study of microeconomics is necessary for the teacher of economics as it provides background knowledge about economic principles and tools of economic analysis.

Course Description

This is an extension of the intermediate microeconomics and it is meant to facilitate students have a deeper understanding of microeconomic theory

Course Aim

The aim is to give the student deeper understanding of Microeconomics, building on the knowledge of intermediate microeconomics so as to provide a basis for microeconomic principles and theories.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course unit, students should demonstrate ability to:

·         Explain the  microeconomic themes in the context of their historical development

·         Apply microeconomic concepts in a wide variety of areas

·         Developed the ability to think logically and improve their ability to analyze typical micro economic problems
