Course Content and Outline

i) Data analysis &Writing chapter four-Results (30 hours)

Table of socio-demographic/clinical factors precedes all tables. Other findings follow as per objective. Tables are preferred in displaying the research findings. Figures are also allowed so long as they bring out the required detail. In this chapter we simply describe our findings.

Chapter 5 and updating of Literature (60 hours)
a)Discussion of research findings follow the reasoning; what are the findings, what do they mean scientifically/clinically, what have other researchers found out about the same topic elsewhere, why the similarity or difference.
b)Conclusions: Before conclusions are made it is preferable you tell us about strengths and weaknesses of your study. Conclusions are made based on your major findings as well as recommendations.

Teaching- learning methods
a)      Lectures
b)      Tutorials/Group discussions
c)      Supervisor guided approach
d)     E-mail – As a media of communication between the students and the lecturers by which learning materials and assignment will be delivered.
e)      Self-directed reading
f)       Supervisors meeting students on appointment, laptop computers with statistical software e.g. STATA, SPSS, stationary
