Course Description

PURPOSE OF COURSE

To orient students to a new form of management that stresses goal accomplishments through increasing productivity at individual levels.

Students are able to appreciate team in order and participation in decisions pertaining to the projects objectives and goals hence its success.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course unit, students should be able to;

  • Analyze a problem / opportunity its cause and work out strategies on how to counter that problem.
  • Identify problems and use different project management tools like PERT, logical frame work, PRA tolls and WBS plan and work out strategies for their solutions prepare project appraisals to ensure effective implementation and attainment of the project goals projects and make decisions on projects basing on presented financial feasibility studies as well as fundable project proposals.
  • Prepare  project Appraisals to ensure effective implementation and attainment of the project’s goals.
  • Apply capital budgeting skills for select alternate project and make decisions on projects basing on presented financial forecasts.

  • Prepare monitoring tools and write monitoring report for accountability purposes.
