Course Description

PURPOSE OF COURSE

The course is intended to show how public revenue is raised, account to the public on the use of their taxes, demonstrate how resources were allocated to different services and to provide information to the stakeholders.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES.

By the end of this course unit, students should be able to;

§  Explain  the extend to which the environment of public sector accounting is different from the environment of private sector accounting.

  • Intermediate output measures and use indicators to interpret efficient performance and know their limitations.
