Course Description

This course will help students to understand the basic law and procedures governing international business transactions.  Students will be exposed to selected topics of international trade, formalities necessary, performance of international contracts and remedies of the parties.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course, students should be able to:

  1. Examine the laws governing international business transactions.
  2. Discuss main issues that affect international trade.
  3. Examine the modes of payment in international trade.
  4. Upraise the procedure for dispute resolution in international trade.
  5. Critically examine the remedies available to the parties in the international trade arrangement.
