Course Description

This course will enable students to understand the different modes and modalities of protecting intellectual property especially trademarks passing off and copyrights both nationally and           internationally.

LEARNING OUTCOME

By the end of the course, students should be able to:

  1. Analyze the protection of intellectual property in the computer and cyber era.
  2. Discuss about the state’s obligations to protect intellectual property under international instruments.
  3. Appraise The East African Community and other regional instruments in the protection of intellectual property.
