Course Description

  1. This course will help students to understand the major sources and
  2. underlying principles of labour legislation and their interface with 
  3. international Labour Conventions.  The course also introduces the student to
  4. specificities like pensions, workers compensation, social security, occupational
  5. safety and settlement of disputes and industrial relations.    

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course, students should be able to:

  1. Learn the major sources of labour legislation and the principles on which they are hinged on.
  2. Identify industrial disputes and their resolution.
  3. State and Examine the International labour instruments.
  4. Discuss Labour Union Organisations and Employers Organisations.
