6.1 Human Communication Skills (5 LH)

 

1)  Introduction to communication

 

2)  A brief history of human communication

 

3)  Definition of communication: A critique

 

4)  Communication models

 

5)  Concepts   and   principles   of   human   communication:   verbal   and   non-verbal communication language;

6)  Interviewing:   definition,   environment,   behaviours,   techniques,   recording   and reproduction of interview session.

7)  Social cultural variation in communication, use of appropriate communication skills

 

for the patients’ culture during interview.

 

6.2 Study Skills (4 LH)

 

1)  Knowing the academic environment;

 

2)  Planning work

 

3)  Organizing and budgeting time and resources

 

4)  Storing and retrieving information, thinking critically, solving problems, coping with task-oriented learning, dealing with facts and opinions, drawing conclusions.

6.3 Library and Reading Skills (4 LH)
