6.1 Weights and Measures: Metric system, avoirdupois imperial measure, calculations of drugs, mixtures, solution, temperature and calories (2 LH)

6.2 Partial  Fractions:  Denominator  with  only  Linear  Factors,  denominator  with  a quadratic factor, denominator with repeated factors. (2 LH)

6.3 Linear  Equations:  Use  of  Cramer’s  rule,  use  calculators  /  Computers  and  row

 

reduction (2 LH)

 

6.4 Matrices: Basic Operations with matrices, commutative and associative laws, algebra of square matrices and areas of polygons (Innovation) (2 LH)

6.5 Quadratic Equations: Factorization and expansion of various types of quadratic expressions, solving general quadratic equations by factorization, solving equations by completion of the square, quadratic formula and graphical methods (2 LH)

6.6 Remainder Theorem: Long division method, function method f(x) and synthetic method (2 LH)

6.7 Surds:  Simplifying  surds  (including  reverses),  laws  for  combining  surd  and rationalization (2 LH)
