PURPOSE OF COURSE

This course is oriented towards acquainting the student with the analytical and theoretical principles needed for understanding industrial development. At the initial stage the focus is on industrial meaning while at the later stage is focus on industrial structure and decision making

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course unit students should be able to:

·         Explain the role plays by industries toward economic growth and development such as employment generation, capacity building, advancement of technological know how

·         Discuss various strategies that can be apply toward industrial development

·         Explain the idea of industrialization they would be equal to the current global challenges in terms of present industrial development
