Course Description

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course deals with the application of the design concepts taught in the civil Engineering profession.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:

·        Apply the knowledge and skills he has so far learnt in solving an engineering problem as a final year individual project.

·        Orally present the final report and a working component/device/solution to a panel of examiners.

·        Gain expertise in handling projects.

 

COURSE JUSTIFICATION/RATIONALE

This course will expose students to real life situations related to civil engineering and impart adequate training so that confidence to face and tackle any problem in the field is developed in the college itself

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

A student on completing this course is expected to:

·        Design a working component/device or find a solution to an engineering problem.

·        Produce a project report that is word processed and in bound form and orally present the report to a panel of examiners.

·        Present the final report and a working component/device/solution to a panel of examiners.
