This course will include both Basic Engineering Drawing and Chemical Plant Drawing: In Basic Engineering Drawing, students learn from the basics like paper sizes, lettering, conventional symbols, single components or assembled parts sectioning, dimensioning and up to drawings for manufacture. Sectioning, dimensioning, limits and fits and symbols.Fundamentals of machine drawing, drawings for manufacture. In Chemical Plant Drawing, students learn to draw and interpret simple process assemblies consisting of vessels, pipings, valves and their accessories in a monolithic form. Monolithic chemical plant drawings.
Course objectives
The course is intended
i) To introduce engineering drawing as the common language of communication amongst all engineering disciplines.
ii) To lay a basic foundation that can enable students make engineering drawings and interpret them.
