Basic Engineering Drawing

Drawing Paper sizes A formats. Line work and Lettering, Isometric and Oblique Pictorial Drawings, Single component and Assembly Drawings Sectioning, Dimensioning, Drawings for Manufacture.

 Introduction to Basic Engineering Drawing:(4 Hours)

The Drawing paper.A-format, Size A1, A2, A3, A4, etc. Lettering, line work, Lines A, B, C, D, E and F. Boarder margin, Title box. Free sketching

      Sectioning. (6 HourS)

Single component sectioning. One plane sections, staggered sections, Revolved sections, Offset

   Chapter 3: Dimensioning (6 Hours)

Leader lines, extension lines, arrow heads, numerals, letters, Tolerancing of sizes. Drawings for manufacture.

   Assembly Drawings

Machining Operations, Drawings for manufacture.

 Chemical Plant Drawing.

Monolithic drawings, symbols for valves, instruments, pumps. Drawing vessels, curves. Pictorial and orthographic monolithic drawings are taught to the students. To include vessels, valves, pumps, and instruments and their symbols. Monolithic chemical plant drawings.
