Course Description

Purpose of Course: Qualitative development of fundamental laws of thermodynamics and their application to chemical processes. Equilibria and thermal effects in homogeneous and heterogeneous systems. Studies of the behavior of complex mixtures

 

  1. Course Objectives:

With relation to a chemical industry

i)                   Understand laws of thermodynamics and how to apply them

ii)                 Learn how to calculate thermodynamic properties

iii)               Learn how to make calculations for the flow processes, power cycles, compressors, and refrigerators.
