Course Content and Outline

Topics: Thermodynamic analysis of multi-component, multiphase, and reacting systems. Calculation of properties for ideal and real fluids.Application of First and Second Laws of thermodynamics. Relation between P,V,T, auxiliary functions, partial molar quantities, chemical potential, Gibbs-Duhem equations, free-energy, activity, fugacity, fugacity and activity coefficients. Phase and Chemical reaction equilibria in homogeneous and heterogeneous systems.
