Course Description

The central theme in this course is that Human Resources is part and partial of the development process. The course will expound on the concept of Human resources in contributing to development or/ under development of individuals or nations at personal, local, national, regional and international levels. The course will enable students grasp the concept that proper human resource management is central in influencing and shaping the course of development. 

 

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, the students should be able to:

  • Articulate the importance of human resources and human resource planning in development;
  • Demonstrate skills of analyzing the process and importance of job design, staffing, and performance management; and
  • Demonstrate skills of examining the approaches and importance of human resource evaluation; human resource training and development.

 

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, students should know the importance of human resources and human resource planning in development and issues of job design, staffing, performance management and the approaches to human resource evaluation and training.
