Course Description

The course is designed to raise the standard of students’ knowledge of statistical methods to a level that will facilitate proper understanding of statistical discussions and enable the use of appropriate statistical techniques to analyze research data.

 

Course Aim/Objectives

The course aims at exposing postgraduate students to the key terms and concepts related to statistics and the variety of statistical techniques that are used in research.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the Course Unit, the students should be able to:

  • Differentiate and define terms and concepts related to statistics;
  • Differentiate the  types/forms of statistics and statistical  tests; and
  • Use advanced statistics and data analysis techniques in a research and a wide range of sectors or situations.
