Course Description

The central theme in this course is that politics is part and partial of the development process. The course will expound on the concept of politics in contributing to development or/ under development of individuals or nations at personal, local, national, regional and international levels. The course will enable students grasp the concept that politics and political decisions are central in influencing and shaping the course of development. 

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, the students should be able to:

·         Articulate  politics and political systems in relation to development

·         Have analysed the  different political systems and comprehended their influences on the development process

·         Have analysed the influence of politics and political systems in the development of different regions of the world and identified remedies

 

Learning Outcomes

The aim of this course is to should be able to describe politics and political systems and in relation to development; examine the different political systems and their influences on the development process; and explain the influence of politics and political systems in the development of different regions of the world.
