Course Description

This course provides the fundamental principles and practices of government procurement.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course has been designed to: 

  • Expose to students the methods of procurement 
  • Discuss the legal framework pertaining procurement in Uganda 
  • Enable students know the contribution of public procurement to national development

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES 

By the end of the course students will be able to:

  • Differentiate public from private procurement
  • Describe the scope and nature of the public sector in which procurement takes place 
  • Describe the contribution of public procurement to national development
