Course Content and Outline

The students will be attached to organizations in the Electrical Engineering industry in order that they      may assimilate theory and practice. 

Students going for Industrial Training must have brought acceptance letters to the Directorate of Industrial Training. This letter provides the university with the information where the student is going to train from.

Students should go to the training places with the following: logbook, assessment form and your other notebook.

They will be expected to participate in the day to day activities of the organization under the supervision of qualified personnel, within but not limited to the following topics: 

Electronics components and devices

Electrical devices and machines

Power supplies, transmission and distribution systems and networks.

The students will maintain a logbook of their daily participation, observations and remarks.  The logbook will be regularly assessed by the organization’s supervisor. 

Depart­mental academic staff from the University will also regularly assess the students and examine the logbook at the place of attachment.  The students will prepare a technical report from the training      process.  The duration of the Industrial Training shall normally be ten weeks.
