Course Description

Managers around the globe face the challenge of making or keeping their organizations successful now and in the future. The responsibility of forging strategy and aligning the organization by developing the organization and executing and leading the organization is the essence of the field of strategy. This course will focus on strategy and the various strategies organizations adopt. This course will provide insight in the current tools, ideas, concepts and experiences in the academic and business practice of strategy.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course unit students should be able to;

  • Explain the importance of strategic insight in organizations as future managers.
  • Discuss the insights into what complexity of strategy.
  • Formulate effective corporate level strategy in order to navigate current and future volatile business environments.
