Course Description

The course explores how business institutions, organizations and customers are suppose to take advantage of the Internet and digital technologies to empower business processes in order to be efficient and  competitive. It also critically analyzes how businesses can improve the way in which they run their business as well as improve relationships with trading parties. Further more, it explores methods that enable business to expand globally or into new markets.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course unit, students should be able to:

  • Profound and critical understanding of E-commerce applications and framework.
  • Ability to evaluate the contribution of electronic commerce model to business institutions and organizations.
  • Hands-on Internet applications usage with reference to E-Commerce.
  • Understand the legal, security and ethical implications of electronic commerce.
