Course Description

This course is unit gives students a thoroughly understanding of accounting principles and the application of the requirements of international accounting standards (IAS). The course describes the reporting framework of accounting in and different bases of preparing financial statements of multinational cooperation.

To introduces students to advanced areas in accounting that are in line with professional and international accounting.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of course unit, students should be able to;

  • Explain various accounting principles
  • Describe the role of financial reports and their users
  • Understand and apply the requirements of the international accounting standards
  • Describe various types of regulatory framework of accounting
  • Prepare financial statements for international business organizations
  • Understand the various bases of preparing financial statements for all organizations.
