COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course covers key environmental aspects related to the industry. It includes environmental considerations in planning, design and management of projects and health issues in a work environment.
COURSE JUSTIFICATION
Environmental Studies an upper-level science course designed to provide students with the pressing environmental issues of our time by examining both the science behind the issues and other social reasons behind the responses to the issues.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
To equip the student with knowledge of environmental and health matters in industry.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On completing this course, students are expected to discuss environmental implications of engineering processes and how their impacts can be mitigated.
