Financial management as we take today is that managerial activity which is concerned with the planning and controlling of the firms financial resources. Finance is the life blood of the business economy. The finance function of the management is equally important for profit and non-profit organizations. This course is of immense interest to academicians and practicing managers.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course unit, students should be able to:

  • Explain the management of funds of business.
  • Explain the problems associated to management of assets both fixed and current assets.
  • Discuss the problems of procurement and proper utilization of funds
  • Explain financial planning and control.
