Course Description

A prospective Ph.D. holder in Management must know what makes up managerial functions. He needs to be aware of the evolution and development of management thinking so that he can understand and appreciate prevailing management theories and become conversant with management operations, skills and techniques.

The course explores the management functions of planning, decision making, organizing, staffing, communicating, motivating, leading and controlling.
