Wetlands And Waste Water Treatment
Brief Course Description
The course covers advanced processes and
concepts of constructed wetlands systems. It focuses on the existing
scientific, technical, and economic practices of using constructed wetlands for
wastewater and sewage sludge treatment. Scientific developments concerning municipal
industrial and agro-industrial wastewater treatment and sewage sludge treatment
will be presented.
To develop a basic knowledge about the concept of
wetlands and industrial wastewater management and apply the same in the field
end of this course, the student should be able to:
ways of wastewater discharge and treatment.
design and prepare individual small waster systems for wastewater discharge.
used technologies, operation systems, requirements on effluent.
A student completing the course is expected to:
constructed wetlands’ main mechanisms.
rough design of constructed wetlands treating various wastewaters and sewage
