Course Description

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course covers application of finite element methods to problems in structural analysis. Emphasis on properly posing problems and interpreting calculation results. Use of commercial FEA packages. Introduction to the theory of finite elements.

 

COURSE JUSTIFICATION

To present concepts and tools for computational mechanics applied to generic solid structures.

The student will:
