Course Description

COURSE DESCRIPTION

 

The course aims at equipping students with the basic techniques for data collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of research findings. It is expected to avail students’ with knowledge and understanding of writing research proposals and research reports. Furthermore, it expected to give the students the intricacies of scientific and academic writings

 

COURSE JUSTIFICATION/RATIONALE

 

The need to conduct meaningful inquiry and research cannot be over emphasised in every facets of human development. Thereby, this course intends to introduce the students to both qualitative and quantitative methods of research for their academic activities and also for their future endeavor.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

 

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:

  • Upon completion of the course students w be familiar with present definitions, importance and applications of researches.
  • The students will also have acquired detailed understanding of research proposal and shall be able conceptualize and write research proposal.
  • They are also expected to have analyzed and understood research methodologies and design.
  • They would have acquired detailed understanding and how to write research reports.
